COVID-19 AHEC Commitment Statement

AHEC is currently moving forward as planned with all our regularly scheduled courses as a large portion of our class offerings are online. Live in person training classes are limited to 8 or less students depending on the subject matter. Any non-essential travel has been postponed through the end of August and we will reassess at that time. Should anything change in reference to any class we will reach out to everyone with instructions and/or alternatives.

As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities we wanted to take a moment to share what actions we are taking to ensure the health and safety of AHEC students, faculty and personnel.

We continue to maintain high standards for the quality and cleanliness at our facility. We are observing social distancing rules as well we are disinfecting workstations and common areas several times a day. AHEC is encouraging everyone to be vigilant with handwashing and we have provided hand sanitizer in public areas.

Effective immediately access to our office has been limited to employees and class participants. Every visitor is escorted through the building limiting access.

Our thoughts go out to all those affected by the virus and the healthcare professionals and caregivers working on the front lines.
